Strategic Storytelling

Two women sit across from each other at a round table in an office, engaged in conversation. One is holding a notepad and pen. Shelves and chairs are in the background.

Inspired by the highly impactful Alliance@work program, Strategic Storytelling coaches students on how to use the actor’s toolbox to be present, connected, and authentic in high-stakes situations (such as an interview) during the transition from high school to college and/or career.  Grounded in a partnership between a professional teaching artist, school counselor, and teacher, this program leads students through the creative writing and presentation process as they grapple with common interview prompts such as: Tell me about yourself.
