John, who comes from Springfield, Ohio, has been steadily employed in the entertainment industry since 1975. He was educated at Ohio State University and interned for Player’s Theater of Columbus. He furthered his studies at HB Studios in New York City and began his career as an actor, touring, working off-Broadway and appearing in TV commercials. Acting led to stage management positions on tour, in stock and off-Broadway on Little Shop of Horrors at the Orpheum Theater and many productions for Georgia Shakespeare. Ross toured internationally for the Center for Puppetry Arts’ collaboration with Jon Ludwig and Ping Chong: Kwaidan. More recently, he has joined stage management teams on Good People at the Alliance Theatre, Menopause the Musical and Diary of a Madman. Ross lives in Decatur with his wife, Barbara, and her dog, Honey. He has been a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association since 1977.
