Minka has 15-plus years in theater and 20-plus years in operatic and concert singing. She is a five-time Suzi Bass Award nominee. She began training at age 6 years old and toured the world tour with the Young Singers of Callanwolde at age 14. Her work has taken her to Paris, London, Athens, Edinburgh and all over the United States. Atlanta: Horizon Theatre, Actor’s Express, Alliance Theatre, Synchronicity Theatre. Atlanta Opera: chorus of Madame Butterfly under maestro William Fred Scott; featured soloist in the Atlanta premiere of Porgy & Bess (2005) under maestro Stefano; Dido in Dido and Aeneas under maestro Scott in Gainesville. In 2015, Minka presented the first installment piece of her one-woman trilogy Shaking the Wind (2015) and Breathing Fire Moving Earth (2016) at Emory University’s Breaking Ground series.
