Moritz von Stuelpnagel's Broadway debut, Hand to God by Robert Askins, is currently running at the Booth Theatre, following a sold-out engagement off-Broadway last winter at MCC (SDC Callaway nomination, Lortel nomination); the play originally premiered at Ensemble Studio Theatre. Moritz most recently directed the world premiere of Nick Jones’s play Verite at LCT3. Previous premiere credits include Trevor by Nick Jones (Lesser America), Love Song of the Albanian Sous Chef by Robert Askins (Ensemble Studio Theater), Bike America by Mike Lew (Ma-Yi Theatre), Mel & El by Mel & El and Patrick Bodd (Ars Nova), Spacebar by Michael Mitnick (Studio 42), and My Base and Scurvy Heart by Adam Szymkowicz (Studio 42). Moritz is the Artistic Director of Studio 42, NYC’s producer of “unproducible” plays.
