Joya hails from the city of Augusta, Ga. She attended the University of Northern Colorado, where she received a bachelor's degree in acting and a second bachelor's in journalism. Joya’s acting credits include Crumbs From the Table of Joy, Bocon, Finding the Sun, and Reckless. She has also tried her hand at directing. Her directing credits include Much More Than Music, Take Two, and Today You Are an Overcomer. Joya wants to thank her family and friends for their continued support.
