About the Class
Taught by renowned New York casting director Harriet Bass, this comprehensive course is designed to equip actors with the tools and techniques needed to excel in auditions for both classical and contemporary theater productions.
Course Highlights
- Expert Monologue Coaching: Under the expert guidance of Harriet Bass, students will receive personalized coaching on audition monologues. Whether you’re delving into classical masterpieces or exploring contemporary texts, you’ll gain valuable insights into character development, emotional depth, and the nuances of delivering a captivating performance.
- Mock Audition Sessions: Practice makes perfect. In this class, students will participate in mock audition sessions where they’ll perform prepared audition sides. These sessions mimic real-world audition scenarios, providing valuable experience and feedback.
- Cold Read Mastery: Auditions often include cold reads, and this course ensures you’re well-prepared. You’ll sharpen your ability to interpret and perform text on the spot, demonstrating your versatility as an actor.
- Audition Techniques and Confidence: Confidence is key in the audition room. The instructor will share their extensive knowledge of audition techniques, helping you build confidence and poise. Learn how to make strong choices, connect with casting directors, and leave a lasting impression during auditions.
- Career Preparation: Beyond honing your audition skills, this class offers invaluable insights into advancing your professional career in the theater. The instructor will provide essential advice to help you navigate the competitive theatre industry.
