About the Class

This class invites the actor who sings to move beyond the 16–32 bar cut and into fully realized storytelling through music. Blending scene study, dramaturgy, and acting through song, students will investigate how musical theatre writing communicates action, intention, and emotional stakes. In a collaborative and supportive environment, artists will develop the tools to bring greater depth, specificity, and truth to their work.
