About the Class
Admission to this class is by interview and audition only. This process-based scene study and character intensive is designed for actors ready to move from playing the role to becoming the role. In this immersive course, we will work intensely and specifically to break down scenes and characters, giving you a firm, repeatable method for consistent success in your work. We will cover script analysis, character break down, audition approach, and preparation techniques. Learn how to get out of your own way, and how to sharpen your existing tools while adding new ones to your toolbox. Beginning with the large questions—Who, What, When, Where, and Why—we drill down through beats, objectives, and subtle inner shifts to reveal the core truth of each moment. As Clayton Landey says, “The real question is never how to play it; the real question is how to BE it.”
All students must audition and interview prior to joining the class. Email Clayton at claytonlandey@att.net to schedule an audition and interview.
