About Play in a Day

Got a story to tell? Make some theater magic at Play in a Day, a brand new program designed for middle school students. Forget your typical school break and join us for an intensive, one-day creative sprint. You’ll team up with a teaching artist and a talented ensemble to devise and perform an original play from scratch – all in a single day.

Daily Schedule

8:30am – 9:00am Drop Off
9:00am – 10:15am Morning Session #1
10:15am – 10:45am Snack Break
10:45am – 12:00pm Morning Session #2
12:00pm – 1:00pm Lunch
1:00pm – 1:30pm Mindful Moment
1:30pm – 2:30pm Afternoon Session #1

4:00pm – 4:30pm Pick Up

Morning and afternoon sessions include a variety of activities including physical and vocal warmups, drama games, and rehearsals.
