Jamie Lawrence // Having written orchestrations for Adam Guettel’s Myths and Hymns at the Public Theater in 1998, and Days of Wine and Roses on Broadway in 2024, Jamie is thrilled to be teaming up with Adam again. Jamie has written all the original music for the Tony Awards broadcasts for the past twenty years as well as serving as its Associate Music Director and in-house orchestrator. He has penned charts for numerous musical luminaries including Jessye Norman, Quincy Jones, Smokey Robinson, Audra McDonald, and Herbie Hancock. In the film world, he produced and orchestrated the score for the HBO documentary Arthur Miller: Writer, directed by Rebecca Miller, as well as her feature films Maggie’s Plan, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, and The Ballad of Jack and Rose. Jamie produced the songs and scored the Hulu romcom musical Best Summer Ever and has scored numerous documentary films, many of them for HBO: Death on a Factory Farm, The Alzheimer’s Project - Momentum in Science, and Dealing Dogs. HIs compositions and arrangements have been honored with five Emmy Awards and ten Emmy nominations.
