Emily Estefan is a Grammy-nominated musician, songwriter, producer, actress, and activist. She was a co-host on the Emmy-winning show Red Table Talk: The Estefans and co-host of the iHeartRadio podcast In Our Own World, which was recognized as one of Spotify’s Best Podcasts of the Month. Estefan began playing instruments as a child, nurturing a deep-rooted passion for music that led her to earn a bachelor’s degree from the Berklee College of Music. She went on to write and release her debut album, Take Whatever You Want, and founded her independent label, Alien Shrimp Records. Her work encompasses writing, producing, arranging, and performing, and she has appeared at major festivals such as SXSW and the Essence Festival, as well as prestigious stages including the Gershwin Prize and the Kennedy Center Honors. She has also expanded internationally, performing at La Celebración de la Hispanidad in Madrid, the Carnival of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, and the Cook Music Fest in Tenerife. Throughout her career, Estefan has collaborated and shared the stage with renowned artists including Bette Midler, Dave Navarro, Carole King, Billy Gibbons, The Wailers, Cyndi Lauper, and Karol G, while also recording virtual performances with legends like Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban, and Allen Stone. She also lent her voice to the theme song produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda for the Amazon Prime Video series With Love. In addition to her music career, Estefan has explored acting, performing in 24 Hour Musicals on Broadway in 2018 and making her on-screen debut in the Father of the Bride. Currently, she is expanding her creative footprint into theater as a co-writer of the original score for the new musical BASURA, premiering in Atlanta and preparing for its Broadway debut in 2027, further solidifying her place as a dynamic and multifaceted artist.
