About the Anti-Vaping Project

The Anti-Vaping Project (AVP) is an innovative, arts-integrated program aimed at preventing and ultimately eliminating youth vaping and e-cigarette use.  Aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) in both Health and the Fine Arts, AVP curriculum is differentiated to uniquely serve middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students and educators.  Over the course of (5) lessons (with the option to extend learning through technology integration), students examine the misconceptions and health risks associated with vaping in order to craft original Public Service Announcements that creatively and effectively advocate for healthy lifestyle choices.

Presenter & Pilot Partners

Presented by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in partnership with Jewish Family & Career Services (JF&CS) Atlanta and the Alliance Theatre, the Anti-Vaping Project exists squarely at the critical intersection of the performing arts, education, and public health, and is designed to positively impact secondary students, schools, and communities throughout the state.

Research & Evaluation
