Jessica Connell has been a part of the circus community for nearly 16 years, specialising in hula hoops, aerials, and group acrobatics. Born in Melbourne, Australia she began her journey at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus School and quickly fell in love with the performing arts. At 19, Jess joined CIRCA Contemporary Circus as a full-time ensemble member, launching an 11-year international career. During this time, she toured to 29 countries, performed in 15 productions, and contributed to the creation and development of nine original works. After her long tenure with CIRCA, Jessica expanded her artistic collaborations. Her credits include creative developments with 5 Angry Men, Na Djinang Circus - ‘Common Dissonance' (2023), two seasons aboard Virgin Voyages’ cruise line with The 7 Fingers - ‘Duel Reality’ (2023 & 2024). She also returned to CIRCA as a guest artist for their collaborations with Opera Queensland in ‘Dido and Aeneas’ (2024), as well as ‘Rising’ (2025), presented at the World Expo in Japan. In March 2024, Jessica began creating a new solo work, 'Concussed and Confused', blending circus and storytelling to explore personal narrative through physical performance. Jessica is thrilled once again to be working with The 7 Fingers here in Atlanta!
