Ivan Reyes
Ivan Reyes is a creative technologist raised in the Bay Area and now based in Atlanta, Georgia. His early introduction to computers shaped his artistic practice and sparked a lifelong dedication to technical self-education, complementing his BFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). With more than 30 years in digital media, Ivan has produced immersive content and interactive experiences centered on emerging technologies. Today, he brings that expertise into the realm of fine art, translating decades of innovation into speculative, future-forward work. His recent exhibition Technoterria presented a retrospective set in the year 2125, imagining the next century of technological advancement. Installed at Georgia Institute of Technology’s Interactive Media Zone, the exhibition featured a 40-foot video wall and ten interactive touchscreens exploring in-depth speculative concepts across ten eras of future history. Ivan’s work is grounded in optimism. He envisions a future shaped not by fear of technology, but by creative partnership with it — embracing technology-enhanced artistic tools and emerging innovations to build a more imaginative, sustainable world.
