Alan Mendez [he/him/él] is a New York City-based actor, musician, and music director, and he’s delighted to be making his Alliance Theatre debut! Off-Broadway acting credits include Mexodus (Daryl Roth Theatre, Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre), Comedy of Errors (The Public Theater) and Socrates (The Public Theater). Select regional credits include Mexodus (Pasadena Playhouse, Berkeley Repertory Theatre), Bandstand (Playhouse on Park), Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (Hangar Theatre), Evita (Fulton Theatre), and Once (Mason Street Warehouse). Music directing credits include Fruition (2026 Latinx Theatre Commons Carnaval of New Latinx Musicals), frikiNation (Chicago Cultural Center, National Queer Theater’s Criminal Queerness Festival 2025), Taylor’s Inferno (industry presentation), and Heartbreak Hotel (associate, John W.
