"...near-perfect tribute to [Maurice Hines's] rich and rhythmic life...Seriously good." —Wendell Brock for the AJC
"Whether it's his charm, his charisma, his showmanship, or the obvious, palpable pleasure he takes just from being on a stage in front of an audience, Maurice Hines is irresistible." —Sophie Gilbert, writing about the Arena Stage production for The Washingtonian
Broadway legend and tap dancer extraordinaire Maurice Hines teams up with the unforgettable Manzari Brothers. With song and dance, Hines pays tribute to his brother, Gregory, and the singers who have inspired him, from Frank Sinatra to Lena Horne. To help bring the history of American tap to life, Hines brings The Diva Orchestra, an all-female nine-piece big band. Get ready to laugh, smile and tap your feet to the infectious song and dance of Maurice Hines!
