Take your improv skills to the next level by strengthening your active listening, trust, and ability to stay fully present in the moment. Through collaborative exercises and scene work, you’ll sharpen your instincts, deepen character choices, strengthen relationships onstage, and learn to confidently adapt to the unexpected, all while creating more authentic, dynamic performances.

Meet the Teacher

Kirsten King

Kirsten is the proud product of a military family and as an Atlanta-based actor, writer, and creative director, she brings over 20 years of improv, teaching, & performance experience to the Alliance Theatre Education team. She graduated from Auburn University with a BFA in Theatre - Performance & studied at the Circle In The Square summer conservatory on Broadway. She teaches a variety of youth, teen, & adult improv and acting classes through a variety of creative collaborations with public, private, charter, homeschool, online, & other arts education community partnerships. Kirsten has trained in Meisner, Shakespeare, classic works, musical improv, and both short and long-form improv. Kirsten is a member of the Atlanta based improv group Dark Side Of The Room and some of her credits include sharing the stage with comedy colleague Colin Mochrie, Greg Proops, Mark Meer, and Mark Kendall & she was a chosen performer for the Kenan Thompson Atlanta Comedy Showcase.
