About the Class
Explore the complex and brilliant music of the legendary Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. In this intermediate musical theater class, you will continue to practice healthy singing habits to maintain your vocal health while working closely with an accompanist and instructor to master a full musical number. By analyzing character, relationship, and subtext, you will learn how to navigate Sondheim’s intricate scores to deliver a compelling stage performance.
The course concludes with the opportunity to perform and record your final selection in the Alliance Theatre’s Black Box space, providing you with high-quality material for your professional reels.
