About School Break Play Days

Looking for a creative escape during the school break? Join us for Alliance Theatre School Break Play Days! These high-energy, one-day camps are designed to get students moving, thinking, and creating.

Each Play Day features a unique, standalone theme led by an industry expert—ranging from musical theater to acting for the camera. Unlike our multi-week sessions, Play Days focus entirely on the dramatic process and skill-building; while there is no final performance, every student walks away with new confidence and a day full of memories.

Registration

Tuition is $80 per day. Maximum capacity of 16 students per class.

Online registration closes 48-72 hours before each Play Day. Call 404-733-4600 to check availability.

Each School Break Play Day has a specific theme taught by an expert in the field.

Fall Break

  • Sept. 21 – Take the Lead: Intro to Directing
  • Sept. 22 – Dramatic Designs
  • Sept. 23 – Acting Basics
  • Sept. 24 – Throwback Thursday: Rewriting the Classics
  • Sept. 25 – Freaky Friday: Musical Mashups

February Break

  • Feb. 15 – President for a Day
  • Feb. 16 – Proud Proclamations
  • Feb. 17 – Spring into Song
  • Feb. 18 – Acting Basics
  • Feb 19 – Winnie the Pooh

Daily Schedule

Morning and afternoon sessions include a variety of activities including physical and vocal warmups, drama games, auditions, movement and music rehearsals, and crafts.

Snack and Lunch

Campers are required to bring 2 nut-free snacks, a lunch, and a water bottle each day.
