Meet the Teacher

Gloria Martin

Gloria Mason Martin has been associated with the Alliance Theatre Education Department since 2003, teaching Voice Over. Working in professional voice over since the 1980s, she maintains a home recording studio and specializes in voice for the computer and telephony, as well as, audio books and e-learning. Her voice has been heard across North America, Brazil, Mexico, and internationally, in Europe and SE Asia. Gloria's first love is musical theater and comedy, which started when she was 16. She holds a BA in Theatre from Northwest Missouri State University, an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in Theatre: Acting and Directing from the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and is a Actor's Equity member for 30 years, a charter member of the Voice and Speech Trainer's Association, and a voting member of the Grammy's. Also, an accomplished educator, Gloria has taught at the University of Georgia, Emory University, Agnes Scott College, and currently, teaches at the University of Phoenix, Atlanta Campus where she serves as Lead Faculty/Content Area Chair for Humanities and History, along with being the Campus Faculty Assessment Liaison for the Southeast Region.
