Spelman Leadership Internship & Fellowship Program

Alliance Theatre employs three rising seniors from Spelman College as interns. The cohort of interns is selected from a competitive application process, and at the conclusion of each year, the Alliance selects one of the interns to receive a full-time, two-year fellowship at the Alliance in an area of artistic or executive leadership. Annually, the Alliance Theatre Spelman Leadership Fellows program employs three interns and two full-time Fellows.

Purpose of the program

In August 2016, the Alliance Theatre partnered with Spelman College to create the Leadership Fellows Program, a big first step in addressing the leadership pipeline challenges at our theatre and will provide the national field with an annually growing pool of highly-qualified candidates who have professional experience at one of the nation’s foremost arts centers.
