Andy Señor Jr. was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and has built an international career as a director and performer. His Broadway credits as Associate Director include On Your Feet! as well as Roundabout Theatre Company’s Holiday Inn. He also collaborated with Jeffrey Seller as Associate Director on the musical FLY at Dallas Theater Center and La Jolla Playhouse. Andy’s Broadway debut came earlier in his career when he played the role of Angel in the Tony Award–winning musical RENT, performing on Broadway, in London’s West End, and on national and international tours. He was Associate Director to Michael Greif on the Off-Broadway revival, and directed productions in Tokyo, Seoul, and Havana—the latter inspiring the HBO Original Documentary Revolution Rent, which he directed. Andy directed the regional premiere of On Your Feet! at Actors’ Playhouse. As a performer, he starred as Dan in the immersive Barcelona production of Next to Normal, directed by Simon Pittman and featuring Tony Award winner Alice Ripley. His recent directing credits also include productions of Jonathan Larson’s tick, tick… Boom! in Tokyo and at Actors’ Playhouse in Miami.
