Blake Fountain
Actor, Teaching Artist Liaison
Blake Fountain [he/him] is filled with exuberance to join the cast of the Underground Rep at the Alliance Theatre! Favorite credits include Edna Turnblad in Hairspray (Out Front Theatre Company), Sylvia St. Croix in Ruthless! (Out Front Theatre Company), Franz Liebkind in The Producers (City Springs Theatre Company), and the Lion in The Wizard of Oz (Atlanta Lyric Theatre). A proud graduate of Valdosta State University with a BFA in Theatre (Musical Theatre emphasis), Blake is also a burgeoning playwright whose original work Mamma Dearest: Here We Joan Again premiered this past holiday season at Out Front Theatre Company, where he also serves on the Board of Directors. In his copious free time, he moonlights as his drag alter ego Tugboat the Queen, known throughout Atlanta for live-singing and general, glorious chaos. He sends buckets of love to Sam, Butter, and Bean, and especially to his Nana for all those years of driving him to and from rehearsals as a kid. He is eternally grateful. Find him on IG: @nonsmokingpartyoftwo or @tugboatthequeen
