Catie Davis

Catie Davis is one of the most exciting new voices in American theatre, known for blending bold visual storytelling with emotional depth and unforgettable performances. With a passion for developing new musicals, she has helmed recent projects including the UK premier of Indigo (Leicester Curve), The Ghost of John McCain (Off-Broadway, world premier), Forget Me Not (Riverside Theatre), and The Magnificent Seven (Flint Rep, world premiere).

A New York–based director, she has worked side by side with visionary Alex Timbers on six major projects across Broadway and Netflix, including Moulin Rouge! and the cult fan-favorite Beetlejuice, which she oversees all international productions of. Other associate directing includes Company (Broadway revival), The Public Theater, Roundabout Theatre Company, and Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival.

Catie is a 2018 MTC Directing Fellow, a Lincoln Center Directors Lab alum, and a proud member of SDC. She has an array of original musicals in development including a musical adaptation of the indie film The Brass Teapot; and the dark musical comedy Vicky & Frank, starring a teen girl as Dr. Frankenstein in 1950s middle America. She eagerly seeks out opportunities to create highly theatrical, deeply empathetic, and surprisingly human musical theater. catie-davis.com / @catie-davis
