Charles is happy to be back at the Alliance Theatre in Choir Boy having last appeared here in Jesus Christ Superstar GOSPEL. He performed the role of Headmaster Morrow in the Manhattan Theatre Club's production of Choir Boy. Charles recently played "Number Two" in the world premier of Marcus Gardley's The Road Weeps, The Well Runs Dry (Perseverance Theatre, AK) and earlier this year appeared as Papa/Emanueli in Robert Wilson's chamber opera, Zinnias: The Life of Clemintine Hunter. Broadway credits include: Miss Saigon (John), Smokey Joe's Café, and Jekyll & Hyde. Off-Broadway: Dinah Was (Boss/Chase) and George Wolfe's Harlem Song (Apollo Theatre). Other credits: Urinetown (Lockstock), Geva Theatre; A Soldier's Play (Davenport), Arkansas Rep.; Play On (The Duke), The Goodman Theatre & Seattle Rep.
