Danyé Evonne

Danyé is extremely grateful to be making her Alliance Theatre debut in this fun-loving family production. She holds an M.F.A. in theatre from UCLA. Selected Atlanta theatre credits include Macbeth (Georgia Shakespeare), God of Carnage/US (Alliance Theatre), In Her Defense: Afeni Shakur (Tupac Shakur Center for the Arts), In the Midnight Hour (Morehouse MLK Chapel). In Birmingham, Ala.: Ruined, (City Equity Theatre/Aldridge Repertory). In Los Angeles: Stick Fly (Matrix Theatre), Southern Girls (Ruby/Complex Theatre), for colored girls... (Stella Adler Theatre). In Detroit: Crowns, Spunk, How High the Moon, He Is Christmas (Plowshares Theatre Company). Film credits: Passive Fist (Dim Pictures). Danyé has directed high school and college students in Almost, Maine (Tri-Cities HS), Live and in Color (Clark Atlanta University), and Moments in Life (Southwest Arts Center). She teaches theatre at Clark Atlanta University. Danyé is grateful to God for the platform he has provided for her. She thanks the entire cast and crew of Shrek the Musical for a wonderful experience.
