Dede Ayite
Costume Design
Dede Ayite is a Tony Awards winning costume designer whose Broadway credits include Othello, Buena Vista Social Club, Purpose, Hell’s Kitchen, Jaja’s African Hair Braiding and Slave Play. Ayite has numerous Off-Broadway and regional theater credits as well. She recently designed X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X (MET). Regionally, Ayite’s works have appeared at Oregon Shakespeare Festival; Steppenwolf; Arena; Berkeley Repertory and more. She has worked in television with Netflix, Comedy Central, and FOX Shortcoms.
