Elaina Walton (she/her) is a Florida raised-Atlanta based actor, director, playwright and educator with an M.F.A in Acting from the University of Florida (UF) and a B.A in Theatre from the University of West Florida (UWF). As an actor, her favorite credits include Detroit ’67 (Marietta’s Theatre in the Square), Apologies To Lorraine Hansberry (You Too, August Wilson) (Orlando Shakespeare Theater), and Is God Is (The Hippodrome State Theatre). Recently, she portrayed “Zelma Bullock” in the 2nd National Broadway Tour of TINA: The Tina Turner Musical. As a director, her favorite credits include "This Bitter Earth, "Bootycandy", and "GTFOH". Her original works include "A Play Formerly Known As…", "YOKED", and "Blaxcellence365". Elaina is currently the Associate Education Director at 7Stages Theatre (Atlanta, GA), a Teaching Artist at Alliance Theatre (Atlanta, GA) and Synchronicity Theatre (Atlanta, GA), and plans to continue her work as an independent performer and artist for as long as there are stories to be told. She has instructed acting workshops at various public schools in metro Atlanta, GA in addition to her work as a Guest Lecturer at various universities around the country.
