Eugene H. Russell, IV

Eugene H. Russell IV is an Atlanta native, Tennessee State University alumnus, and proud Girl Dad. As both a vocalist and saxophonist for numerous bands, he’s opened for the likes of George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Boyz II Men, KC & the Sunshine Brand, and Mother’s Finest. An accomplished musician/composer and award-winning music director, he most recently served as composer for the Theatrical Outfit world premiere of the Hip-Hop musical, Young John Lewis. Eugene also co-wrote the music for The Boy Who Kissed the Sky which was co-produced by the Alliance Theatre and Seattle Children’s Theatre. His regional theatre acting credits include That Serious He-Man Ball (Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company), Dutchman (Nebraska Repertory Theatre), and Before It Hits Home (St. Louis Black Rep), for which he received the prestigious Woodie King, Jr. Award. In addition to countless voiceover credits, Eugene’s film/TV appearances include the Netflix film The Six Triple Eight and recurring roles on Reasonable Doubt (HULU) and BMF (Starz).
