Off-Broadway/ Regional: Sycamore Trees (Signature, DC), Dangerous Beauty (Pasadena Playhouse), Adrift In Macao (Primary Stages, NYC), Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice (Eastman Theatre/Rochester Philharmonic). Active in the development of new works of music theatre, Fred was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award in Outstanding Music Direction for his work on Ricky Ian Gordon’s Sycamore Trees. Fred is a founding member of The Freakers, a band devoted to the music of Shel Silverstein, and will be the music director of Maury Yeston’s new musical, Peony Pavilion, coming soon to Beijing. He has written arrangements for/recorded albums with Laura Osnes and Lauren Kennedy, and conducted solo concerts with Paulo Szot. Fred has a degree in Organ Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory.
