Kai attended Yale University before leaving to pursue a career in theatrical sound design. Associate design credits to Tony Meola include A Christmas Carol; The Sound of Music; Disney’s Der Glöckner von Notre Dame; Kiss Me, Kate; The Man of La Mancha; and Wicked. Designs include Two Cities; Under the Bridge; Barbie Live in Fairytopia; She Loves Me (Oregon Shakespeare Festival); Million Dollar Quartet (Chicago, New York, London); Zorro (Moscow); Hinterm Horizont (Berlin); Follies (Broadway: Drama Desk & Tony Award nominations); First Date (ACT Seattle); First You Dream (Kennedy Center); and Rent (5th Avenue). In his spare time, he supervises the sound for Wicked around the world.
