Kim Bowers-Rheay Baran
Kim (Bowers-Rheay) Baran is proud to be a teaching artist with the Alliance Theatre Institute for over 20 years, working with multiple programs including GA Wolf Trap (as a Master Wolf Trap teaching artist), Historical Figures, and Dramaturgy by Students. Kim specializes in early childhood education, curriculum development, and professional learning for teachers in arts integration. She has presented interactive workshops on arts integration strategies at workshops, conferences, and classroom residencies around the country, encouraging educators to infuse their teaching with imagination and intrinsically motivated learning. Kim is a professional singer, actress, and certified Montessori teacher. She has performed around the country including in Candide and Annie Get Your Gun at the Alliance Theatre and numerous musicals at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Previously, Kim was the assistant education director at The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta.
Bachelor of music degree in vocal performance- University of Oklahoma
Montessori certification - National Center for Montessori Education
