Maika is very excited to be cast in Maurice Hines Is Tappin’ Thru Life, which is her debut production. She is currently a Vibe Company Member of the national dance convention Hollywood Vibe, where she is a faculty assistant and demonstrator on the 2013-2014 tour. She has received numerous awards and scholarships over the years from several dance competitions and workshops including Nuvo, Jump, Hollywood Vibe, Starbound, Applause, and Totally Tap. Maika is Hollywood Vibe’s 2013 Top National Junior Soloist and Dancer of The Year Finalist, and the current Junior Dancer of The Year for Atlanta. Maika has been dancing for eight years at Great Gig Dance Co. in Kennesaw and is an honor student in 5th grade at Kennesaw Charter Science and Math Academy. She is grateful to her friends and family, and especially her tap teacher, Tammy Everhart.
