Marc is the artistic director of South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, Calif. He has expanded the theater’s community and artistic initiatives and produced dozens of world premieres including A Doll’s House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath, Vietgone by Qui Nguyen, Mr. Wolf by Rajiv Joseph, Office Hour by Julia Cho and the upcoming Cambodian Rock Band by Lauren Yee. Plays premiered by SCR regularly appear across the country and SCR productions have transferred to some of the finest regional theatres in America as well as Broadway. His recent directing credits include All the Way, Going to a Place where you Already Are, Zealot and Eurydice at SCR and Byhalia, Mississippi at the Contemporary American Theatre Festival. He served for 11 years as artistic director of Actors Theatre of Louisville and produced the Humana Festival of New American Plays, and for many years was artistic director of City Theatre in Pittsburgh.
