Mary Owen

Mary Lynn Owen is delighted to return to The Alliance Theatre for this annual holiday tradition. Prior Alliance Theatre credits include Knead, her one-person show, for which she received the Alliance Theatre’s Reiser Award and the Gene Gabriel Moore Playwriting Award as well as the productions of Crossing Delancey, Elliot: A Soldier’s Fugue, Medea, Steel Magnolias, and A Wrinkle in Time. Mary Lynn most recently appeared in The Thin Place at Actors Express where her credits also include Cabaret, Six Degrees of Separation, Kimberly Akimbo, and Downstairs. Additional Atlanta Theatre credits include Our Town and The Laramie Project at Theatrical Outfit; Wit and Knead at Aurora Theatre; The Clean House, Third, and Rooted at Horizon Theatre; and The Glass Menagerie at Georgia Shakespeare Festival. As a playwright, ML’s plays have been produced and/or developed at The Alliance Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Actor’s Express, The Barter Theatre, Seven Devils Playwrights Foundry, Working Title Playwrights, Theatrical Outfit, and The Sewanee Writers Conference where she recently received the Tennessee Williams Scholarship.
