Ruth has worked with children for many years as a classroom teacher and Teaching Artist in public and private schools. She holds a Masters Degree in Theatre and has studied with Creative Drama specialists Ruth Heinig, Dorothy Heathcote, Brian Way, and Cecily O’Neill. She resides and works in professional theatre in Seattle, Washington. Ruth is happy to return to the Alliance Theatre, having conducted workshops at several Alliance Theatre Teacher Institutes in the past. She has been a presenter at the International Conference on Imagination and Education, for the Washington State Arts Commission, Wolf Trap, Montessori School Teacher Training, and for the Pacific Northwest Association of Private Schools.
