Sam Provenzano
Resident Artist & Teen Programs Manager
Sam Provenzano [she/her] is the BOLD Resident Artist and Teen Programs Manager at the Alliance Theatre. Her recent work on the Alliance stages includes Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience, the Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young productions of Knock Knock, All Smiles (presented at Lincoln Center), Gimme Please! (presented at Lincoln Center and BAM), and Dinosaur! -- all focused on providing high-quality arts experiences for children and inspiring an appreciation for theatre from the earliest ages. Additional directing work includes the Alliance production of Little Amal: We Have A Dream, various productions at the Zach Theatre, The Blanton Museum, The High Museum of Art, and universities such as UNCo and UT Austin. Associate directing credits include Into the Burrow, The Incredible Book Eating Boy, and Doctor DeSoto. Sam programs the Alliance Theatre’s teen camps and classes, leads the Teen Ensemble, and is the director of the Palefsky Collision Project. She holds an M.F.A. in Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Acting from the University of Northern Colorado.
