Susan G. Reid puts her casting and coaching background to good use in the thriving southeastern entertainment market as an agent in the television and film department at Atlanta Models & Talent. Additionally, she has worked as a professional director and professor for over fifteen years. An active member of the Atlanta theater community, Reid has earned awards for her excellence in directing, ranked among the top ten directors in Atlanta. She served as Head of the BFA Acting program for Columbus State University. Extensive teaching experience includes work for academic institutions such as: Kennesaw State University, University of West Georgia and High Point University. Her other professional and community efforts include positions as Artistic Associate and Education Director at Theatre in the Square and Aurora Theatre, serving as a liaison between the theater and school systems, bringing in thousands of students to see live theater performances. She served on the School Advisory Council in the Marietta City School System and volunteered with the YWCA using theater skills to teach alternative coping mechanisms for victims of domestic violence. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Directing from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and an undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, cum laude. Additionally, she was a participant in the Lincoln Center Theater Director’s Lab in 2009.
