Broadway credits include Desire Under the Elms directed by Robert Falls; Hollywood Arms directed by Harold Prince; Scandalous directed by David Armstrong; A Christmas Story: The Musical directed by John Rando. New York credits include scenic designs for The Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival, Manhattan Theatre Club, Atlantic Theater Company, Playwrights Horizons, Signature Theatre Company, The New Group and Lincoln Center Festival. Regional credits include Steppenwolf Theatre Company, the Guthrie Theater, The Shakespeare Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum, the Ahmanson Theatre, American Conservatory Theater, Goodspeed Musicals, Paper Mill Playhouse, Centerstage, Arena Stage, Hartford Stage, Yale Repertory Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre, American Conservatory Theater, The 5th Avenue Theatre and the Alley Theatre. Mr. Spangler received his MFA from the Yale School of Drama.
