Will Amato
Will Amato is a comedy writer and performer known for writing and producing sketch comedy shorts on FunnyorDie. He wrote Divine Puberty, One Fish, Two Fish, and directed the award winning short film Game Night. Will is the author of 20 plays for children, hundreds of comedy sketches, a pilot called Nuthouse and a novella called The Chronicles of Melvin Haywood that was greatly enjoyed by the 10 people who read it. Will holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Elon University and teaches advanced sketch comedy writing and directs live sketch comedy shows for the Highwire Comedy Co in Atlanta Georgia.
Will toured regionally as a professional actor and director for many years before moving to Atlanta. He played Melchior in the first regional production of Spring Awakening, hosted Slime Time Live for Nickelodeon, and performed as Captain Jack Sparrow at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Will studied improv and sketch comedy at the UCB theatre in New York City and founded the awarding winning improv comedy troupe ACME.
