Your Free Hub for Creativity and Imagination

The PNC PlaySpace is an experiential learning space where children can explore, move, and make believe. Open six days a week, the PNC PlaySpace invites children from birth to five years old to enjoy free play, engage in interactive performances, and embrace the chance to move and imagine. This resource is provided at no cost to families, offering a consistent, accessible environment that sparks creativity and supports early childhood development through joyful, unstructured activity.

Immersive Exhibition: Bossa Nova Baby

Opening in January 2026, the inaugural exhibition in the PNC PlaySpace Bossa Nova Baby is a sensory journey through the Brazilian rainforest, created in partnership with DashStudio.

Babies: Off Book!

Every Tuesday // 11am & 12pm

Babies: Off-Book! is for 0-24 month olds and their grown-ups. Shake up your weekly routine with this sensory story time for infants and toddlers. Families will bring their favorite stories to life through rhyme, song, and tactile props. Alliance Theatre teaching artists will guide you through a multi-sensory experience engaging the voice, body, and imagination. Stories will vary week to week.

Lullaby Project

First Wednesdays // 11am & 12pm

Families are invited to create and sing personal lullabies for their babies with the help of professional musicians and teaching artists. Creating, singing, and sharing lullabies promotes overall family well-being by supporting caregiver and maternal health, early child development, and parent-child bonding.

BabyWearing Dance

Second Wednesdays // 11am & 12pm

BabyWearing Dance is a joyful way to move, bond, and build strength with your baby. Dance safely while snuggled close, enjoying upbeat music and a supportive, fun-filled environment. This class offers postpartum-safe cardio designed to help you regain strength and confidence, all while keeping your little one entertained and connected to you.

Scribbles

Third Wednesdays // 11am & 12pm

Scribbles invites caregivers and children to explore poems, stories, and imagination together, all while being in a safe, supportive space that allows individuals to strengthen their bond while nurturing language development and emotional intelligence. After each session, you’ll walk away with heartfelt pieces that capture your child’s unique voice—precious keepsakes to treasure for years to come.

Story Yoga

Fourth Wednesdays // 11am & 12pm

Introduce your early learner to the magic of movement and mindfulness with Story Yoga! This 30-minute session led by a certified yoga instructor is perfect for toddlers and their caregivers. We use creative yoga poses to act out beloved stories, enhancing balance and coordination. It’s a wonderful way to build strength, flexibility, and early literacy skills in a supportive, imaginative environment.

Baby Rave ATL

Baby Rave ATL is a sensory dance party designed for little ones 0-18 months and their caregivers! Led by a composer/sound artist and a dancer/choreographer, this research-driven experience nurtures early development through movement, music, and playful connection. Grown-ups will sing, sway, and explore alongside their little ones in a joy-filled space. While this Rave is designed for babies, this is a highly inclusive dance floor, and there’s room for everyone to join the party! Come move, groove, and celebrate the magic of early childhood!

Parking for Woodruff Arts Center events is conveniently located in The Woodruff Arts Center parking garage located on Arts Center Way.  

Additional parking options for evenings, weekends, and other peak visiting times are available at the Promenade parking garage, located on 15th Street, and the Boys & Girls Club, located on Peachtree Street across from the Woodruff Arts Center. 

For GPS purposes, use 1280 Peachtree Street NE. If parking in the Woodruff Arts Center Parking, you will pull a ticket when you enter and pay when you leave. 

Yes. The Arts Center can be easily accessed by public transportation at the Arts Center MARTA station (N5), across from the Woodruff Arts Center Parking Garage on Arts Center Way.

You can pre-register for your visit if you want to plan ahead. Walk-ups are also welcome.

You may be asked to wait in the lobby until the PNC PlaySpace has room. Feel free to explore the beautiful Sifly Piazza located between the Memorial Arts Building and High Museum of Art.

Weekly programming includes Alliance Theatre programs Babies: Off Book! and Wellness Wednesdays and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Meet the Musician. There will also be occasional special events in the PNC PlaySpace.

To keep the PNC PlaySpace clean, safe, and enjoyable for every child, we ask that no food or drinks be brought inside. We have multiple spaces for snack breaks:

  • Lobby of PNC PlaySpace
  • Lobby of the Woodruff Art Center
  • Outside in our courtyard space

Yes, we have a designated parking space adjacent to the PNC PlaySpace

No, caregivers are required to stay with their children throughout their visit to the PNC PlaySpace.

For the safety of our guests, we require that adults be accompanied by children.

Surfaces are cleaned and sanitized multiple times throughout each day and again at the end of each day. The PNC PlaySpace is closed every Monday for a deep cleaning.
