Alliance Theatre Presents Ballethnic’s signature production, The Leopard Tale, eloquently fuses classical ballet and African Dance into a high energy, action-filled and powerful performance. In The Leopard Tale, known as the "Magic Tale," audiences experience graceful ballet technique and energetic African dance intermingled in an exciting tale of survival in the African jungle. The Leopard Tale’s lively African drumming and original Act I music, composed by L. Gerard Reid, underscore the dance diversity and artistic range of Ballethnic Dance Company. The ballet, choreographed by Ballethnic Dance Company's Co-Founder, Waverly T. Lucas II, continues to be a popular family classic.
