In this heartwarming and visually stunning musical based on the beloved book Milo Imagines the World by Matt de la Peña and Christian Robinson, you'll embark on a journey through Milo's mind as he transforms the everyday passengers into larger-than-life characters and reveals beauty in unexpected places. 

With playful songs by Atlanta's own Christian Magby and Christian Albright (The Incredible Book Eating Boy) and a book by Atlanta native Terry Guest, Milo Imagines the World is a celebration of how we see ourselves and others. This story of hope, empathy, and the boundless power of creativity will inspire audiences of all ages.

Previous projects include The Incredible Book Eating Boy (Lyrics) and Into the Burrow (Additional Lyrics).  The song, “Another Sunday” from this production was an official selection for the 2025 TYA/USA National Festival & Conference Song Slam Cabaret in D.C.  He also wrote the song “Proud,” which was performed for Home Depot’s Non Profit Partner, HouseProud, which serves seniors and veterans in the community.  Albright would like to thank the cast, crew, staff, creators and production team. As an actor, her favorite credits include Detroit ’67 (Marietta’s Theatre in the Square), Apologies To Lorraine Hansberry (You Too, August Wilson) (Orlando Shakespeare Theater), and Is God Is (The Hippodrome State Theatre). Recently, she portrayed “Zelma Bullock” in the 2nd National Broadway Tour of TINA: The Tina Turner Musical. As a director, her favorite credits include This Bitter Earth, Bootycandy, and GTFOH. Her original works include A Play Formerly Known As…, YOKED, and Blaxcellence365. Elaina is currently a Teaching Artist at Alliance Theatre (Atlanta, GA) and Synchronicity Theatre (Atlanta, GA). She has instructed acting workshops at various public schools in metro Atlanta, GA in addition to her work as a Guest Lecturer at various universities around the country. Ja’Siah C. Young [she/her] is overjoyed to join the cast of Milo Imagines the World at the Alliance Theatre. A few of favorite theatre credits include Manyara in Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters (Synchronicity Theatre), Alice in Wonderland: Alice’s Rock n’ Roll Adventure (Synchronicity Theatre), and u/s Shapeshifter 1/Feedback 3 in The Boy Who Kissed the Sky (Alliance Theatre). A proud alumna of Tri-Cities High School’s Visual and Performing Arts magnet program, Ja’Siah is also a Suzi Bass Award winner for Best Performance. Beyond the stage, she’s passionate about developing and workshopping original works of her own. Committed to the arts, she thrives as a teacher, writer, producer, and director. Some of her assistant directing credits include Music Man Jr., Matilda Jr., and Annie Jr. at ANCS. Alongside creative projects, she leads her own writing and performance art classes for both film and theatre, and serves as a Teaching Artist at the Alliance Theatre. A few of favorite theatre credits include Manyara in Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters (Synchronicity Theatre), Alice in Wonderland: Alice’s Rock n’ Roll Adventure (Synchronicity Theatre), and u/s Shapeshifter 1/Feedback 3 in The Boy Who Kissed the Sky (Alliance Theatre). A proud alumna of Tri-Cities High School’s Visual and Performing Arts magnet program, Ja’Siah is also a Suzi Bass Award winner for Best Performance. Beyond the stage, she’s passionate about developing and workshopping original works of her own. Committed to the arts, she thrives as a teacher, writer, producer, and director. Some of her assistant directing credits include Music Man Jr., Matilda Jr., and Annie Jr. at ANCS. Alongside creative projects, she leads her own writing and performance art classes for both film and theatre, and serves as a Teaching Artist at the Alliance Theatre. Her experience spans theater, film, and television, with a focus on storytelling through wardrobe that is both character-driven and visually compelling. Jahise has costume designed productions, including A Raisin in the Sun, Hot Wing King, Trouble in Mind, the BET+ feature film Dance for Me and a few other regional theatre productions. She has also contributed as an assistant designer and coordinator on major productions such as the Tony Award-winning MJ - The Musical, The Devil Wears Prada (Broadway), and CBS's Blue Bloods. With a background in period and specialty costume, Jahise brings detail-oriented artistry and collaborative energy to every project. She is thrilled to join the vibrant creative community at the Alliance Theatre and looks forward to continuing her storytelling work in the heart of Atlanta’s performing arts scene.
