Imagination Bootcamp: Intro to Devising, grades 6-12

Devising is a dynamic theatrical tool that blurs the lines between performer and playwright. In this class, you will immerse yourself in the world of collaborative creativity and learn to craft original performance pieces from the ground up. Through devising exercises and activities, you'll uncover new strategies for theatrical creation and develop a deeper understanding of this unique approach to art making. Class Objectives:

• Explore a diverse range of devising strategies, from physical theater techniques to improvisational games and collaborative writing exercises.
• Develop the ability to create and refine original performance pieces that captivate audiences.
• Cultivate a collaborative mindset, working closely with peers to co-create and shape narratives.

The class session will culminate in a sharing for friends and family during the last class.
