Youth Players is a performance-based class for teens that culminates in a full production of a one-act play. Students will experience the entire process of putting on a show, from auditions to the final performance, while learning blocking, line memorization, and working as an ensemble. Along the way, they’ll develop essential rehearsal techniques and professional etiquette. The production will feature technical elements like props, costumes, sound, and lighting, providing a comprehensive theater experience. Auditions will take place during one of the first class sessions, and every student will have a chance to shine on stage!
Level: Advanced
Prerequisite: A previous intermediate level acting class or several drama camps is recommended
Duration: 13 weeks, 2 hours
Performances: December 5 & 6, 2025 (time TBD)

Meet the Teachers
Ariyanna Brewer & Joseph Quintana
Aryianna Brewer (She/Her) is thrilled to join the Alliance Theatre Education team! Her favorite credits include The Preacher’s Wife at the Alliance Theatre (Stage Management Production Assistant), working with the Atlanta City Theatre in Bunmi and Babajide: Much Ado in Lagos,1963 (Stage Manager), Everybody (Stage Manager), and Circadian: When Will We Wake (Stage Manager). She is pursuing a Film and Media degree from Georgia State and is acting Treasurer of the Atlanta City Theatre Players. She also enjoys reading and photography in her free time. Joseph Quintana is a Director, Actor, and Musician based in Atlanta, GA. In his early career Joseph worked in opera singing with Austin Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, and El Paso Opera. With a passion for devised and ensemble based theatre, Joseph has devised work for El Paso Opera, and GenEnCo., Hard Women, and Ghost Light Collective in Austin, TX. With the Alliance Theatre he has worked in the Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young program performing in Oodles of Doodles, Dinosaur, and Gimme Please with performances at the Alliance Theatre, Lincoln Center Theater, and Brooklyn Academy of Music. Recent credits include assistant directing the 2024 Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition winner, Business Ideas by Milo Cramer, director for Timon of Athens with Scranton Shakespeare Festival, and director for Noises Off with The Playhouse at White Lake in Whitehall, Michigan.
