PERIL follows the parallel journeys of Kevin, an aspiring influencer, and Sessue Hayakawa, the first Hollywood sex symbol, as they navigate existence and the desire to be seen in times of heightened nationalist tensions. An examination of Asian identity, the limits of representation, and the often blurry line between entertainment, news, and propaganda.
