In this introductory musical theater class, students will develop and refine their triple-threat skills in acting, singing, and dancing. Students will learn proper vocal technique, rehearse choreography inspired by classic and contemporary musicals, and use creative drama techniques to bring musical theater to life. Emphasizing collaboration and professionalism, the class teaches ensemble work, rehearsal techniques, and stage etiquette, building confidence and a strong foundation for future performances. Through fun and engaging activities, students will grow their talents while experiencing the joy of musical theater.

Duration: 2 hours, 12 weeks

Charlie Edwards

Charlie Edwards is a dedicated teaching artist and has been with the Alliance Theatre Education department for a year now. She is a current senior at Georgia State University studying Acting with a minor in entertainment media management. From summer camp, weekend classes, to the Expand Childcare program Charlie has fully immersed herself in the world of education at the Alliance. She finds so much joy in sharing the arts with the next generation as they discover the magic of theatre.
