J.L. is an actor and educator from Winston-Salem, N.C. He received his B.A. in Theatre and M.F.A. in Performance from Shaw University and the University of Georgia respectively. He's worked as a performer and teaching artist with the Alliance since the summer of 2014. Currently, J.L. teaches Intro to Theatre at Georgia State and occasionally works as a standardized patient with Emory University. His teaching experiences and interests include accents/dialects, movement, devised theater, voice & diction, characterization, and improvisation.
